The informer magazine was primarily made online, on a computer. While sometimes I would have to use my phone, it consisted mainly of Microsoft word online, word, blogger, and Microsoft Publisher. While I am Certified in Microsoft word an powerpoint, I had never used the publisher. I used publisher to create all of the Informer magazine. While not completely similar to word or powerpoint, it was not challenging to navigate and create the Informer magazine. Much of the technology used in this case was software that was accessible on specific types of hardware. These technologies helped to create the flat plan, cover page, Table of contents, and the main article. Without any of this technology, the blog and magazine would have been very much impossible to compose. Another way technology was integrated into the informer magazine was all the websites and social media accounts that they own. The social media accounts they own help distribute and market the informer magazine. The so...

The creation of the informer magazine seemed like a simple and easy task. However, as many have learned, the production of magazines requires many skills. The informer magazine greatly impacted my production skills in a positive manner. To begin with, the first skill that had developed greater was my picture taking and editing those pictures. This was because of the peer reviewing and the research of many other magazines. This helped me decide how and what to take pictures of for the blog or magazine. Another production skill that greatly developed was time management for either the blog or the magazine. This skill developed because of the due dates of log posts, rough drafts of the magazine, photo shoots, and interviews. This helped me manage my time wisely, and have minimal time wasted at school or even after school sometimes. Lastly, there was the organization skill. My organization skill was greatly improved because of the blog and the rubrics Mr.Elsburee gave us as we were compl...

The informer magazine engages with many ages of people across the North American continent. From bringing up local issues to providing insight on issues that may arise from up and coming issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible. One such issue the informer magazine addresses is the issue of red tide. They engage with their audiences by allowing for constructive criticism on their website. This feature coupled with their social media campaign allows for the engagement of the Informer magazine with their audience and possibly future audience. The informer magazine will be distributed to many of the big retailers in North America, in multiple different languages such as Spanish and English. This will allow for the highest percentage of magazines sold. This is because the magazine will be in more stores and will be seen and or bought by a larger amount of people. The informer magazine issue one was advertised and marketed all over. Business partnerships with multiple big b...

The informer magazine issue I will be referring to is the first publication of the informer magazine the environmental issue. The cover page for the first issue of the informer magazine is very stubble. The main picture is the of the Sarasota Bay area. This picture was chosen because it shows no one near the water and trying to be as far away due to the red tides. I chose this picture since the main article, “Blood Tides”, combats the issue of red tide, gives solutions and shows what the community is implementing to combat the growing issue. The article title page also has a sort of slogan.   This is convenient because many of the magazines I had researched did have slogans on their cover, the National Geographic’s, for example, has the  “live curious” slogan which caught my attention. The informers emulated the slogan aspect and created the"Warn, prevent, inform" slogan. Another place many conventions were used as the table of contents. The table of contents had one title ...
