The cover layout clean and very organized. The cover layout has one central picture of a lie detector. The colors that were utilized were the yellow borders and the red and black text. The the title text was bold and so was the brief description of the article. Halfway through the magazine the articles start to appear. The articles consecutive with only one or two ads that come in between them. The main article comes first then is followed by articles relating to the general topic that it had followed. Te advertisements are very diverse, from vacations to the Bahamas to shaving, to also advertising their conglomerates. Most of the advertisements were in the beginning of the magazine. the cover picture directly relates to the main topic of this issue, lying, by it being a lie detector. The picture on the table of contents is a picture of a volcano erupting into the ocean. Through out the article are full page, half page, quarter page pictures. this magazine is very popular global magazine, printed in many languages, and sold about anywhere. The distribution number for this magazine is about 3.5 million copies every month, this issue none different. National geographic has been nominated for countless awards, such as a prestigious award and the best website to name a few.
I Chose this layout after researching and going through multiple Magazines. The layout is like this because I saw this trend with the table of content layouts, and that is that they seem to be simple and do not have much going on. There will be six articles and their page numbers featured on the table of contents page. this is because of the fact that those six articles are the main articles of the magazine. I will use two large pictures to emphasize the point that these are the two most interesting articles. I will use the Californian FB font on the contents of the page because it is easy to read, and it is not an eyesore. For the title, it will be the same font, but just much larger and bolded.
